Print Overview

The Virginia Horse Journal publishes twelve issues each year. In addition to reporting statewide equine news and our regular features, we present editorials of interest to advertisers. These consumer-oriented articles inform readers about what is on the market and enable advertisers to plan their advertising for the most effective results.

Serving the Virginia Horse Community since 1995

The Virginia Horse Journal has readers in a five state area, with the highest concentration of readers located in Virginia. The Virginia Horse Journal is distributed in, Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. We are a free publication. Our target readership is every horse owner in Virginia and surrounding states. We are an all discipline and all breed publication. More than half of our advertisers have been with us for over 11 years, because they receive results.

Here is what some of our advertisers say:

“I get the best response from the Virginia Horse Journal. It is better than any other
advertising I do.”
Susie Ashcom, The Ashcom Group.

“The results we get by advertising in the Virginia Horse Journal are like magic. We are so happy with the results. There is no better place to advertise.” Todd Anderson, Pennington Seed.

Of all the advertising dollars I spend, the Virginia Horse Journal provides five time more responses
 than all others combined.
Reid Folsom, Farm Consultant.

“We are very satisfied with the response we received and will continue to advertise
 because we get results.”
Jess Sweely, Acorn Hill Sport Horses.

Advertising with the Virginia Horse Journal has done very well for me. It is the best for my business.
I get calls from all over the state. I am happy with the results.
